Wheel-Times offers a year-round sports program for children and young adults who have mobility challenges. This program is for children and young adults with physical disabilities, but not limited to only those in wheelchairs. The goal of Wheel Times, Inc. is to include everyone. Organized team sports are vital to teach young people many lessons including sportsmanship, encouragement of others, and pride. These lessons are important for all people to learn, not just able-bodied persons. To ensure safety and equal play, all players (including siblings, parents and friends) must play seated in wheelchairs. These players are vital to our program....family and friends are urged to participate. Wheelchairs will be available to players that do not have their own.
· Your child does NOT have to be able to move their own wheelchair to participate!
· Your child does NOT need to learn all the rules! ACTIVE participation is the goal of our program.
· We strive to teach sportsmanship, teamwork and communication skills!
